Support NCRS

Overview

North Carolina Reading Service operates solely on individual contributions, corporate sponsors, grants, and funds raised through our Gala. For more information, please contact May Tran at (919) 832-5138, or by email at may@ncreadingservice.org.

Program Sponsorship – The North Carolina Reading Service produces 18 live broadcasts a week and over 75 pre-recorded podcasts. We offer individuals and companies the opportunity to sponsor our programs.

By sponsoring a program your company will be acknowledged at the beginning and the end of the program you have chosen.

Event Sponsor – North Carolina Reading Service holds several events throughout the year that support our programming. Our largest event is our New Visions Gala that is held in the fall of each year. With over 200 attendees, the Gala includes the New Visions Showcase that highlights technology for people with print disabilities. The evening is festive, fun, and includes a delicious dinner, dessert in the dark, and a silent auction.

Sustaining Donor – Sustaining donors are donors who have committed to support the North Carolina Reading Service on a regular frequency either monthly, quarterly, or annually.

The advantage of a sustaining donor is the convenience. You can be automatically charged to your account by credit card, check, or from auto pay from your bank.

Planned Giving –You may be inspired to support the North Carolina Reading Service through your estate. There are two methods to include us in your estate. The first is to simply update your beneficiaries of your IRA or 401(K) to include a charity. There are many benefits to making a charitable gift as part of your legacy via your IRA. Among them include speed, ease, and expense.

The second method is a bequest. With the help of an attorney, you include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to the North Carolina Reading Service.
